Rick T. from Surry, British Columbia writes:  I just want to say Bob that I'm impressed with your practicum so far.  Looks like there are going to be some challenging bits in some of the chapters to complete and me thinks I will have a lot of fun along the way.

Andy T. from Winthrop Harbor, IL writes:  I realize that I've been e-mailing you a lot for some time now.  I hope I'm not making a pest of myself.  But ship modeling is my passion, and--although I have a number of ships in progress (and pretty well done at that)--I consider myself only 4 or 5 notches above a novice.  Yours is the only ship modeling college that I know of.  I've written other ship modelers who belong to ship modeling associations, and the answers are sparse.  I thank you for your timely answers and great direction and advice.  I respect your ship modeling passion and work with high regard, and I wish there were some way that I could reciprocate.

Our mission is to provide quality products to the ship modeling community. Our business began with the introduction of the first practicum ever written for a kit, the Armed Virginia Sloop by Model Shipways. Over the years we added additional practicums to create The College of Model Shipbuilding™. In June 2005 we introduced the first Craftsman style true plank on frame kit, the Fair American. We continue to develop our Admiralty Series™ kits with emphasis on ease of construction and quality materials.
