Our Refund Policies
General:
The Lauck Street Shipyard LLC recognizes that at times a customer might not be pleased with one of our products and may wish to request a refund. We have always tried to provide quality products to our cusomers as well as quality support and service. If you make a purchase from us, rest assured we will make every effort to provide a reasonable solution to a refund request.
Practicums, Mini-Practicums on CD:
If you have purchased one of our College of Model Shipbuilding courses, mini-practicums or other practicums, please read the End User Licensing Agreement that came with your CD or CD's. Please understand that because these products are software and are not copy protected, we depend on your own honesty not to make any copies of the content of these CD's or to pass that content on to others. Due to the unprotected nature of these products, our refund policies require immediate action from you.
If you are not satisfied with your CD purchase, to receive a refund, you MUST contact us immediately - the same day that you receive the product. You may contact us by telephone or email but you msut state why you are not satisfied with the product. You must not make any copies of the content of the CD or CD's, and you must return the software to us immediately.
Upon receipt of the software, we will refund your purchase price but not the shipping charges. If the CD's are damaged upon receipt, no refund will be issued. We cannot be held responsible for damage incurred during shipment.
Plank on Frame Kits :
All of our kits are non-refundable regardless of the circumstances. This includes not only kits produced and delivered but kits awaiting production as well as kits paid for but not yet delivered. A kit purchase is not a completed transaction until the customer pays all shipping charges as well as the kit price and takes delivery of the kit.
As a kit customer, you are free to sell a kit purchased at any price but only after you have taken deliver of that kit. If you decide that you do not want a kit you have purchased from us but have not yet taken delivery of that kit, we will not sell the kit for you nor will we ship the kit to anohter party. That is not our business. You MUST take delivery of the kit first to consumate the transaction, at which time you are then free to sell the kit to whomever you please and at whateve price you please.
If a customer fails to take delivery of a kit and the kit is returned to us after shipment, that customer will be responsible for any return shipping charges. If a customer fails to pay the shipping charges or any balance owed on a kit purchase in a reasonable period of time, we will issue a final warning by email that the customer must pay the shipping charges and any balance owed within one week or he will forfeit his purchase.
