Volume II of my Detailed Guide to Scratch Building Model Ships covers how to develop your own set of plans for scratch building a model ship.
This volume goes into detail on how to take an original ship drawing that shows a body plan and a profile drawing and develop a set of waterlines and frame layout profile drawing using CAD software. From those two drawings, the volume shows how to loft frame shapes including the cant frames, and how to develop inside station lines. Using the inside station lines, you can then create another set of waterlines to lot the inside frame shapes.
Each volume is printed in full color on glossy paper. Even the book's front and back cover are on heavy stock glossy paper. This is a very high quality printed book, 8-1/2" x 11" with heavy duty spiral binding that enables you to open the book and lay it flat on your workbench while building your model.
